General Terms and Conditions of Sale
Article 1 — Purpose
These general terms and conditions of sale ("GTC") govern the contractual relationship between BT Security (hereinafter "the Provider") and any customer (hereinafter "the Customer") for any installation, maintenance, or supply of electronic security equipment.
Article 2 — Quotes and orders
All work is subject to a free, no-obligation quote, drawn up after a site visit or discussion with the Customer. The quote is valid for 30 days from its date of issue. The order becomes firm upon receipt of the signed quote, together with a deposit where applicable.
Article 3 — Pricing
Prices are expressed in euros, inclusive of all taxes. BT Security reserves the right to change its pricing at any time, it being understood that work will be invoiced on the basis of the pricing in effect at the time the quote is confirmed.
Article 4 — Payment
Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due upon receipt of invoice. In the event of late payment, late payment penalties at the legally applicable rate will be charged, along with a fixed collection cost indemnity of €40.
Article 5 — Performance of works
BT Security undertakes to carry out the work within the agreed timeframe. A response time of 48 hours is targeted for new installations (subject to availability and the nature of the work). BT Security cannot be held liable for delays resulting from causes beyond its control.
Article 6 — Warranty
Installed equipment is covered for parts and labour for 1 year from the date of installation, except for damage resulting from misuse or vandalism. The statutory warranty of conformity applies in accordance with Articles L.217-4 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
Article 7 — Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code, private Customers have a 14-day period in which to exercise their right of withdrawal from the date the contract is concluded, unless work has already begun with their express agreement.
Article 8 — Disputes
In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavour to reach an amicable solution. Failing that, the competent courts of Toulouse shall have sole jurisdiction. These GTC are governed by French law.
